A distant hello!

I know I have been quite a bit quiet and mysterious since starting this group, but it has been a busy year for me. The good news is I am heading back to lovely ol' New Zealand very soon!

I'd like to 'officially' welcome all members and watchers - and I love seeing all the art submissions!!

Just a small note - my preference for the art in this group is that submissions be somewhat visually iconic of New Zealand (such that one might look at it and go, "Oh yeah - that's got to be New Zealand!") - and yes there are exceptions to this... If I'm on the fence in deciding about your submission, it might help sway me to 'yes' if the description of your deviation mentions where in New Zealand it was photographed, or created, or written, or designed, etc... (Hint, hint, hint!) I have travelled all around both the North and South islands a few times now, but I won't recognize every singe tree or lake or flower or sheep! ;-]
